Hummingbird Mama & Babies

Sometimes I sit and look out my patio window in the morning to think about my day and have a little tea with milk. I've been noticing some excitement in the trees behind my house.   I just figured out there is a hummingbird mama making a nest for her hummingbird babies.

Today I took a photo of her sitting on her eggs it will take a week or 2 before the eggs hatch. This is so exciting. I always associate hummingbirds with Joy...so it feels like this is a blessing bringing joy and love to my home.

I'll keep you  posted!

Surprise...it tastes good and it's good for you!

This week things seemed to feel more settled at work and at home. I decided to let this be a week of doing fun things and indulging myself. One of my guilty pleasures is Red Velvet Cupcakes from Sprinkles Cupcakes. I decided to treat myself with a cupcake and set out for the 30 min drive across town to get the yummy treat. When I arrived they where all out of the REAL red velvet cupcakes. They only had VEGAN red velvet cupcakes. So I took the leap to try one. To my joy and surprise, it tasted JUST  LIKE the original red velvet cupcake.   It was nice to be able to indulge and still be good to myself. So the vegan red velvet cupcakes are my new pleasure (without all the guilt).
